I just got back in contact with my ex-boyfriend / best friend tonight. It started with an argument but it died down over time. We started sort of small talking after a bit. We were both too tired to argue. He was a bit drunk but so was I. He was still himself though. He was the sweet boy I remembered. We talked about things. Everything. We apologized for shit-talking each other, spreading shit on the internet, everything. He’s not good at communicating, I remember that, but he was a sweetheart about it. I genuinely have so much care for him. He told me about his new boyfriend. They’re happy together. I’m so glad they are. I told him about the person I’m talking to. They’re not good for me. He seemed iffy about them. I’m thinking about leaving them. It’s better for me. I missed him and I’s friendship. I missed calling him until the asscrack of dawn, I missed talking about New Order with him. I missed my best friend. Hi, if you see this. Text me. I love you.

cool, i went to a party in high school and everybody got really drunk, including me and a childhood friend who was a year younger than me, he walked me home in the middle of the night, we ended up doing it behind some bushes at the park on a hot summer night. That was awkward because in the months and years afterward, we never talked about "that night" and we acted liked it never happened. It was so weird. Me and my girlfriend even took him and his friend out to eat mexican food once a couple months later when we were 17 yrs old and had money and jobs and paid for their food. They were like little brothers to us.

(vent below. tw) i've always loved this roar song. i don't tell people though, because i fear they'll wonder why. and i don't want to explain why. i don't want to tell them that it's because this is the song i listen to while waiting for my partner to reply, while sobbing my eyes out because my intrusive thoughts take over and i wonder if my partner might've tried to kill themself again, while cutting myself because it feels like the only person in the world who loves me fucking hates me now.
